Such a wonderful place! Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. We had mistakenly thought a vegetarian Thanksgiving special was on offer, and were given the option of ordering a vegan dish off of the brunch menu instead (at dinner time). So accommodating, and a nice change of pace after hearing from another French restaurant that vegans/vegetarians will not be catered to in the French cuisine (thanks, the Marc!). We also had drinks and dessert and loved everything we ordered. Would highly recommend, even with the half hour drive from Edmonton!
The staff are friendly and very professional. The service was great. A very good place to visit with friends. We spend 3 hours there visiting and cstching up. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner or meeting friends. We drove out from from Edmonton. We are going back.
It isn't often that i leave a restaurant completely satisfied, but Chartier did it.the restaurant decor,staff,menu,service levels,cleanliness were all excellent. Ordered poutine for appetizer and it was huge and delicious. Table ordered salmon, daily beef special, pork belly and other beef dish on menu. All were delicious and well sized portions. Will be returning and recommending to anyone looking for a place to eat. Worth the trip from Edmonton.
What an awesome find!! We had a fabulous brunch this Saturday morning. So fabulous, I have not one thing to grumble about. We were greeted promptly and friendly at the front door. Despite the time of week, we were immediately seated, served hot delicious coffee and had our order taken. Brunch arrived quickly, was hot and tasty. MacKenzie,our waitress, couldnt have been better. Thank you for the terrific service. Five stars in every department.
We sat at the bar as we didnt make reservations and it was busy. Our experience dining here was exceptional, in every way. Food was a HUGE part of it, but the staff and clever details of the restaurant made for a beautiful evening. Staff were attentive yet not intrusive. This is an art. The mismatched antique plates and uniquely different chairs added so much personality to this restaurant. Careful decisions have been made when to mismatch and when to have uniformed items (glasses, cutlery, etc are matched). The decor was homey, cozy and classy. The food was upscale, flavorful yet not pompous. The portion sizes are large. We loved and appreciated everything and will be back! The food
